How It All Began
Kayleigh Rogers started Grand Rapids Event Rentals in 2022. She had completed her Master’s degree in occupational therapy and spent time supporting patients at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, her work hours dropped sharply, daycare expenses climbed, and she needed a fresh path to provide for her family, which now includes four children.
It all started when the family picked up one bounce house for local block parties. Seeing the excitement and smiles it created gave Kayleigh an idea. Her husband, Ryan, who runs a marketing agency in the area and designed our website, encouraged her to pursue it. From that single unit, the company quickly grew into a full event rental service that now supplies everything needed for memorable gatherings.
The early days brought plenty of challenges. Raising young children while learning the industry and making big decisions requires real commitment. Yet the desire to help families and groups build lasting memories pushed us forward. Giving up was never part of the plan.
